The Access Control Coordinator (ACC) facilitates site, team and personnel access to the Data Center. They will also assist with problem solving access requests to ensure business functionality.

Responsibilities:

• First line of contact for all visitors to the building. Grants access and maintains a safe and secure environment for customers and employees
• Solid work ethic and integrity, able to work effectively and be self-directed is required
• Support and facilitate timely approval of all access requests within the data center
• Assist SOM to conduct monthly key audit and clearances
• Provides documented updates and feedback to the SOM regarding access control improvements and/or concerns
• Must maintain a strong understanding of access control policies/procedures, vendor onboarding processes and access management resources
• Review badging requests
• Conduct access management oversight and instruction for lobby officers
• Host site level access management training for the site team
• Attend applicable construction/MOP meetings to provide input on access
• Complete/update door/Access control lists for new buildings if applicable
• Coordinates with other DC ACC’s to provide support/guidance if required

A good understanding of all applicable rule’s laws, codes, regulations and ordinances in performing access control responsibilities

Qualifications:

Valid VA Security License

Valid VA Driver’s License

All personnel assigned to the location, are required to possess one or more of the following:

• Three (3) or more years active military service with an honorable, medical, or general discharge.
• Three (3) or more years active reserve or national guard service.
• Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (law enforcement, corrections, firefighter, EMT/ Paramedic)
• Two years or more of college with 60 credit hours; preferably in the fields of Criminal Justice, Technology, Social Science,Business,

Familiarity with report writing

Prior experience working as an Access Control Specialist, in a data center environment, or in military or law enforcement preferred

Knowledge and understanding of basic access control systems functions preferred

Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks

Strong verbal and written skills, detail oriented

Ability to Manage and administer multiple access control systems, including biometric scanners, key card systems

Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods (8+ hours), walk long distances both inside and outside in both climate controlled and non-climate-controlled conditions
